Terms for candidates
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply between Amelie Pfeiffer (“the Agency”) and you as a work-seeker. The Agency is an employment agency under the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. We introduce you to families who employ you directly.
1. No fees to you
You will never be charged for registering, for an introduction, or for being placed. The law prohibits it and so do we. If anyone claiming to act for the Agency asks you for money, tell us at enquiries@ameliepfeiffer.com.
2. Registration and checks
- To be put forward for a role you must meet us in person and show original identity and right-to-work documents, your enhanced DBS certificate, your paediatric first aid certificate, and certificates for any qualification you claim.
- We will ask for two written references from previous families and will verify them by phone. We will not contact a current employer without your consent.
- We will review your public social media profiles before an introduction.
- You confirm that the information you give us is true and complete, and that you will tell us if anything changes, including anything that would affect your DBS status.
3. What we do for you
- We put you forward only for roles where the family has given us a proper brief and has agreed to pay a gross salary through payroll.
- We tell you the hours, duties, location, salary and start date before you decide whether to be introduced.
- We do not pass your details to a family without your agreement for that specific role.
- We will tell you the outcome of every interview.
4. Your responsibilities
- Attend interviews you have agreed to, or tell us as early as possible if you cannot.
- Do not accept a role with a family we introduced you to and then arrange it privately to avoid the family’s fee. This harms the service for everyone, and we may remove you from the register.
- Tell us if you accept a role elsewhere so we stop putting you forward.
5. Your data
We hold your details, your DBS status and your references under our privacy notice. Records are kept for at least 12 months after our last contact, as the regulations require. You can ask to be removed from the register at any time and we will stop putting you forward immediately, keeping only the records we are required to keep.
6. General
We may decline to register anyone, and we may remove anyone from the register, if we are not satisfied with the checks or if these terms are broken. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Complaints should be sent to enquiries@ameliepfeiffer.com.
